If you’ve been frustrated with the solenoid-assisted slave cylinder in your 2007-2012 Colorado, Rodeo, or D-Max, this replacement is the perfect solution. Designed to eliminate the common issues with the factory unit, this upgraded slave cylinder removes the dampener, making clutch bleeding a quick and hassle-free process.
However, it’s worth noting that the factory dampener is there for a reason—it helps reduce driveline feedback to the pedal. Without it, you might notice a firmer pedal feel and increased feedback, especially from engine harmonics when shifting gears. Some drivers actually prefer this direct connection, as it can improve clutch engagement and overall driving feel. But if you’re used to the factory setup, just be aware that the pedal response may feel a little different.
